How it’s calculated
Future value = M × ((1 + r)n − 1) ÷ r × (1 + r) M = monthly investment r = expected yearly return ÷ 12 ÷ 100 n = number of months
Example: ₹10,000 a month for 10 years at 12% grows to about ₹23,23,391. You invest ₹12,00,000; the remaining ₹11,23,391 is estimated growth.
The extra × (1 + r) assumes each instalment is invested at the start of the month. Real mutual fund returns vary year to year, so treat the result as an estimate, not a promise.
